When is it too cold for school?
There is no universal temperature at which every school closes. Districts set their own policies and can consider wind chill, student transportation, building conditions, local warnings, and how long children may be exposed outdoors.
The calculator therefore does not treat a single temperature as an automatic closure rule. It gives more weight as the morning feels-like temperature becomes more severe and shows the measured weather factors behind the estimate.
